know here in Las Vegas. He used to do exhibition tours with Minnesota Fats and was a pro boxer for a
while. He's 70 years old now and I never would have guessed that was him if his name hadn't been
mentioned.

this if he doesn't have a makeable shot or is not in a good position to play a safety. The idea is
to push the cue ball to a location where you think you can make a shot or play a good safety and
your opponent can't. The opponent can shoot from the new location of the cue ball or pass it back to
the other player.

other than a 9' table in my life. Those will be at pool rooms of which there are 4 or 5 in Las
Vegas. Here are some in Fresno but they may or may not be a decent place in terms of atmosphere or
equipment quality:

The pay tables will suck if they do.

I guess it would be a mistake from the house's point of view if the technician sets it at a value
other than directed by management. VP machines appear to be highly flexible in the range of options
to set them up. It really gets me when the higher denominations don't have a 10-hand option (makes
sense to reduce the house's exposure) then another machine in the same casino doesn't have 10-hand
on the lower denominations but it does on the higher ones. And why do some machines on the main
floor have only a $1 denomination? They'd get more play if there were lower denominations. I think
the management and technicians have a give a damn attitude. The casino business is profitable enough
to get away with that. There was a machine in the Wynn with a stuck deal button. I pointed it out to
a slot attendant. Still stuck a month later.
