There is plenty of hope, just not in the form to which we have become 
accustomed.  I think my generation is the last that watched network news at 
5:00 p.m. and got our news chiefly from anchors of the three major networks. 
CNN displaced that in the 80s, and then the internet after that.

I don't think any millennial watches network news at all, and I rarely do. 
On balance, I think it's a good thing.
