After a loss, Steve Carell drops in on old Vietnam buddies Bryan
Cranston and Laurence Fishburne, inviting them on a road trip. Richard
Linklater, who seemingly has the rare good fortune of never being
shackled to a dumb movie, directs LAST FLAG FLYING, from his co-writer's
novel. With it, he essays the tumultuous strait between politics and
the truth, and comes out the other side. Thoughtful, provocative, and
entertaining. Solidly recommended.
