Here in New Zealand they've just had the WIFT Awards ... "Women in Film
& Television Awards". If it had been a men-only awards show there would
have been hell to pay from the "Politically Correct" / "Equality"
nutters. Talk about hypocritcal, sexist crap ... they wouldn't know
actual "equality" if it came up an bit them in the backside! :-\

What the proggies don't get is that the more you indulge in their brand of exclusionary practices,
the more corrupt and illegitimate they look.

I have a good friend who's an actress of some note, but she's quick to
take offense if you call her an actress. She'll say, "I'm an actor.
There's no difference between a male actor and female actor."

I once asked her if that means she'll stand true to her principles and
turn down an Emmy or an Oscar for Best Actress should she ever be
awarded one. I was given the "But that's different!" stare of annoyance.

Has there been any time in your life when you haven't been given a stare

Must be nice to have such a low IQ, to be completely oblivious to the contradictions in arguments.

The low IQs belong to all the "Politically Correct" / "Equality"
nutters who can't see how braindead and hypocritical they really are.

I haven't seen "Dunkirk" but I have yet to see a Nolan film that I
wouldn't describe as "overwrought". I kind of wonder if you've seen it
either.

I've seen it and it's the nature of war films to be (in the eyes of the left) "overwrought" because
the left has no concept of the costs of war.

And he apparently thinks that Academy members picking their favorite performance, movie, or other
contribution to film for the year is an "objective" vote. It is, and has always been, by definition
a subjective process. Rich, your mother's pregnancy test was objective. Objective parameters may
show you are afflicted with Asperger's (or since 2013, "ASD"). If you submitted to an EEG, it may
objectively confirm you are brain dead. Great Caesar's ghost, Rich. "Objectivity at the Oscars".
Grow up.
