Georgia
Alabama
Notre Dame *
Clemson *
Oklahoma *
TCU *
Miami
Wisconsin
Washington *
Auburn **

That's your top ten right now, asterisks involve number of losses.

The Georgia-Alabama loser was the big winner of the week. 12-0 to the SEC title game will be enough
to get BOTH teams into the CFP.

Notre Dame-Miami winner probably is in the Top 4 and gets in if they run out.

Oklahoma-TCU winner, probably the same.

But, again, the damning indictment, with no better opponent for Wisconsin to face, is four one-loss
teams already ahead of them.

Have you not paid any attention the last three years? There is no such thing as "already ahead of
them" Teams go up and down based on quality of wins.. ND would have good reason to be nervous about
an undefeated run by Wisky. Clemson might even more -- especially if Miami loses to ND.

Miami will get in if they win out. Wisky almost certainly will. The one loss teams will get demoted.
This committee is not the AP poll.

Especially last year where the Big Ten champion (because of a rogue committee member due to
Sandusky/Paterno) was left out and a team they defeated placed in their place), yes.

If you want Wisconsin in, Alabama and/or Georgia must lose before the SEC title game for starters.

If that game is 1 v. 2, they both get in.

Then you have Notre Dame-Miami, and Miami-Clemson. There's a scenario both Miami and Notre Dame get
in: (Notre Dame beats Miami, Miami beats everyone else including Clemson).

Oklahoma-TCU... Whoops, that's at least five...

And, no, I don't think there's a quality win of that level for Wisonsin, even going forward, much
less the cupcake factory that's gotten them here.

They need help.

You're going way too nuts with that conspiracy theory. Last year, there were only one undefeated
team, 3 1 loss teams, then a bunch of 2+ loss teams. Ohio State was one of the 1-loss teams and had
a win over Oklahoma, the Big 12 champ. Penn State had 2 losses, one was to Pitt and the other was
by 39 points to Michigan. Yes, Penn State won the Big Ten East on a tiebreaker but Ohio State had
the better overall record.

They won the Big 10 Championship and defeated Ohio State to get there.

If this situation is about getting it decided on the field, then it, to all heretofore criteria, had
been decided: Penn State > Ohio State last year.

That the Committee nullified the Big 10 championship AND the head to head situation for the first
apparent time in history had a reason: Sandusky and Paterno.

It looked, until two weeks ago, ESPN was ready to rectify that situation.

Through three years of the CFP playoffs, the committee has never taken a 2-loss team. Taking either
Penn State or Ohio State was going to break one of the precedents.

Then take the champion or somebody from another conference.

As much as it makes me vomit, the issue between the two was settled on the field twice.

Furthermore, there are two games just this weekend involving teams right in front of them - the
loser will slide behind - and likely two more games past that.

FAR more concerned about Iowa - that's a red hot team w/ a very good young qb coming into Camp
Randall - the road team does very well and UW is all banged up again

UW's problem before the championship game(which they will probably lose anyways) is that if they
lose to Michigan theywill likely need a good bit of help even if they win championship game and go
12-1.

If UW goes 13-0 they will be fine and get in(although they are very unlikely to win it all). I just
think UWs problem is that they won't go 13-0. They stand a good chance of losing either to Michigan
or tOSU.

Sure - it'd very hard to go at 12-1 - unlikely even.

13-0 tho - lock.

And you're right - they're almost certain to lose one - just too thin to keep sustaining the
injuries they have. Iowa will stack the box v Taylor and dare Hornibrook to beat them thru the air
w/ his top two receivers out. Double Fumagalli and go single on the wrs and they should be good

Don't you think the worst problem might be having to play the Ohio
team that has already played it's worst game?

Si - for CG stuff - depends on where we're at as a team - too far ahead to speculate on. We don't
"match up" well w tOSU - but they seem to play below the level of their talent

oh I think they will definately get Iowa this week. Michigan is the far tougher game.

they have a chance at 12-1 and winning the bigten though. They just need some help. but its very
possible they get it.

I dont think they beat tosu in the championship game though.

I have wisconsin as about the 13th-16th best team in the country.

A Wisconsin regular-season loss ends the Big 10 as a CFP entity this year for more than just me.

just think UWs problem is that they won't go 13-0. They stand a good chance of losing either to
Michigan or tOSU.

They need further help. I can come up with:

Two of Auburn/Georgia/Alabama
The Notre Dame/Miami winner
You could still get Miami in with an ACCCG win over Clemson
Oklahoma/TCU

The Badgers need significant help in all that shaking out to open up a spot.

ND-Miami, Georgia-Auburn, correct?

Funky things tend to happen in support of Wisconsin in that building, as you should well know. If
this game were in Iowa, I'd be far more worried.

That went about as well as your bankroll has this year.

My guess is that additional matters such as the fraternity pledge dying and the football trainer
being involved in that murder didn't help matters any.

Oklahoma/TCU - the loser will have two losses and be gone

UGA/CowU/Bama for the SEC spot.

Clemson/Miami for the ACC spot.

OU/TCU for the SWC spot.

The 4th spot is tricky. ND is in if they win out. ND has to lose for
Wasington to be in. I think the Ohio team will win out and the Big 10
will be left out.

That should leave enough loopholes for me to get at least half right.

Strength of schedule is as useless as testicles on a Priest for
picking winners. Is Texas really that much better than Bama? Okay,
better at losing so far.

Hugh

That presumes the SEC doesn't get two. If UGA and Bama both beat CowU and go 12-0 entering the
SECCG, the winner is #1, the loser is #3 or 4.

I think the Big 10 is done ANYWAY.

You just made the case for at least four teams to go in over a 13-0 Wisconsin, and I can add a fifth.

Wisconsin needs at least two of those five teams to lose unexpectedly -- and if Auburn bites both
Bama and Georgia in the ass, then they enter the fray.

I have a feeling the committee is going to go out of its way to make sure they're not 1 and 4 (or 2
and 3). The last thing they need is for the Sugar Bowl to be a rematch of both teams' previous
games. (BTW, yes, they have to put 1 against 4; they can't choose to make it 1-3 and 2-4.)

I don't think Cow U. can win all three games - UGA, Bama, UGA.
